Hello fellow bloggers.

I am new at this so be patient with me while I learn how to do this. I've been reading other postings and it doesn't look too hard. It just appears to require only a willingness to share one's thoughts.

A recurring thought lately is Iraq and what we are doing there. I am a life-long republican (66 years old), and I guess in the final analysis a supporter of W., but it sure is becoming tiresome to continually hear of the latest american deaths there, especially the 8 today. It seems that we aren't really sure how to handle the continuing insurrection and begin impletmenting an exit strategy. I want to believe that the administration knows what it is doing but they could do a better job of demonstrating it.

I guess, eventually, I will recover from UK"s loss to UAB in the NCAA"s but right now, it really bugs me to watch teams still playing that we would have wiped the floor with. Oh well, my blood is still blue.

Anybody got a good gourmet recipe they would be willing to share? A new cookbook by the Junior League of Women of Owensboro, Ky., has just been released with one of my recipes in it, a salmon roullade with leeks. It's pretty good. The new cookbook is very nicely done. The Junior Leagues across the country generally do a very good job with cookbooks.
